Last week, we celebrated the tenth anniversary of one of our team, Andrew Cordy.
He had an auspicious start during his first week in December 2009. Andrew joined us for our annual Christmas night out and on reaching Kitty O’Hanlon’s, he accidentally re-enacted the famous scene from ‘Only Fools and Horses’, when Del-boy fell through an open bar hatch. All that remained visible of him were his trainers!
Andrew started as an Admin Apprentice and took to the job very quickly, building up an encyclopaedic knowledge of the UK and international energy industry. This led to a promotion to Sales Support and two years ago, he made the jump into sales as an Account Manager, where his consultative skills have made him one of the most successful people in our team.
He’s the font of knowledge for his colleagues and an excellent team member. He’s also very well known by his extensive client base, who rely on him for an honest picture of what’s happening in the marketplace.
Andrew says that IU Energy is his first job and that he joined for several reasons – he felt that we were a good place to progress and that we reflected his own passion for green energy and technology.
This continues to be the case and we look forward to working with him for many more years.
