Men’s Day Out 2016 – St Luke’s Hospice
For the third consecutive year, IU Energy are proud to be sponsoring Men’s Day Out!
On Saturday 19 March 2016, one of the largest Men’s events in Plymouth will take place – where men of all ages will embark on a fantastic journey across Plymouth before returning to the mighty Plymouth Albion Rugby Club’s home stadium, to watch the rugby and enjoy a chilled pint-sized reward and a pasty!
Over £60,000 was raised in last year’s event alone – with an impressive 650 men taking part! This year we are hoping for bigger and better – the game is a chance for men to get together and have a great day out, whilst raising a considerable amount of money for charity.

Commenting on last year’s event…
Senior Fundraiser at St Luke’s, Emma Winter, said:
“The atmosphere was fantastic. One guy said that it was the biggest stag do he had ever been on! We had a mixture of guys taking part and the eldest was about 71. This is one of the only events for men only where they can get together to remember loved ones. Our thanks go to IU Energy and Plymouth Albion for their incredible support.”
Duncan Banks, CEO at IU Energy said:
“The last two events were truly incredible, of which everybody here at IU Energy was delighted to support. We are very pleased to have played our part in raising such a considerable amount for much needed funds for St Luke’s Hospice so far and hope to make the event a growing success, year on year.”
