North Nethercleave Farm
Nethercleave is North Devon’s prime equestrian retreat. North Nethercleave Farm in Umberleigh, Devon, was built in 1887 and consists of a large farmhouse, four holiday lets and a livery yard. It is a former working Victorian farm, built around the main farm house and surrounded by acres of lush pasture. The rest of the farm is made up of luxury chalets and working stables, fully equipped for a ride out into the surrounding countryside.
If you love horses, or want to experience equine life for the first time, Nethercleave offers country hacks, stable experience, grooming and feeding. All this is coupled with the essential luxury demanded by today’s discerning traveller. The accommodation comprises 3 luxury chalets of 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms, nestled within the heart of the Taw Valley.
The farmhouse was heated via oil, which became unreliable and expensive.
Owner Angus Cook was keen to find a cheaper, greener fuel option which would also be able to provide his new holiday lets with hot water and underfloor heating.
