Case Study

The Crooked Spire
The Client
The Crooked Spire is an attractive, traditional and popular village pub with a large bar area, open fireplace, large screen TV and a pool table.
The pub offers local ales for both locals and visitors to enjoy. The landlord prides himself on a warm welcome and having never knowingly sold a bad pint!
Named after the crooked spire on the local church, the pub is located on the square in the village of
Ermington, near Ivybridge in Devon.
The Challenge
A reduction in energy costs or usage can make a significant difference to any bottom line.
After a free, no-obligation review of The Crooked Spire’s gas and electricity bills, we established that they were using a large amount of energy at uncompetitive rates.
In a market that is always heading upwards, the challenge is increasingly to protect your business from
rises. In The Crooked Spire’s case, our task was to save them money for three years on both their gas and electricity: No small request given market volatility.
