Position: Permanent, following 6 months’ probation

The role:

We are looking for a graduate to join our innovative and enthusiastic team at an exciting time when IU Energy are expanding. You will be working in our newly-established Energy Companies Obligation (ECO) Residential department, where our team co-ordinate energy solutions for residential customers as part of the government-backed Green Deal Scheme.

You will therefore be entering the business in a key administrative role, which is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate to kick-start their career in a business environment. There are excellent opportunities for continued learning and development as full training will be provided. IU Energy are keen for the graduate to progress within the role.

You will play a key role in co-ordinating appointments, liaising with consultants and ensuring the administration is organised and submitted correctly and on time. As it is a new position in the company, you would be encouraged to use your initiative to ensure the best practice.

The person:

You will be a Plymouth University graduate (who has graduated with a minimum of a 2:1 within the past 3 years). Ideally you will have a relevant degree or experience, but it is not essential.

Skills required:

  • A background in business administration will be desirable
  • A positive attitude to work and fantastic communication skills
  • You will need to be organised and manage your time when working to deadlines
  • You will need the ability to contribute ideas and think creatively
  • Working well on your own and as part of a team
  • We are looking for someone who has the confidence and ability to organise and administer a team of people
